This continuing education course shares valuable information as to how to not only understand but also to apply fair housing laws effectively in your professional lives, promoting inclusivity and legal compliance in real estate practices. During this course, we will begin by tracing the origins of fair housing law in the United States, beginning with the Civil Rights Act of 1866 leading up to the Civil Rights Act of 1968. This historical context is exceedingly significant to understanding fair housing laws today, and provides a backdrop for understanding the evolution and importance of fair housing practices in the battle for equality.
